Overview

To run an installation of the software make sure you are logged on with administration privileges.
|
|
|
Re-installing
|
|
If for some reason the installation of FASTSUITE Edition 2 seems not to work anymore, the software can be re-installed. To do such the Setup.exe has to be executed again. Because there only can be one installation of the software created with the Setup, the Setup will respond that the current installation has to be removed first before being able to re-install the software again.

Software update
|
|
The installed version of FASTSUITE Edition 2 can be upgraded to a newer released service pack or hot fix.
|
|
A service pack will be delivered as a single Setup.exe file. To install it, this Setup.exe has to be executed. The installation process will overwrite the currently installed previous release of the same major version of the application.

|
|
|
For major versions older than R2021.4, the update of a service pack requires that the previous installed release has to be removed upfront, as described below.
|
|
If an installation already exists, the setup process responds with a window to confirm or reject the de-installation of the currently installed package.
|
|
|
|
After confirmation that version will be removed from the system. The Setup has to be started again to install the required update. Then the steps to follow are the same as installing the software new, that is described on the Installing the application page.
