Purpose

Use the Resource Builder workbench to easily build a robot pedestal.
|
|
|
The geometry of the pedestal will be imported from an external file to build the resource. It then will be completed with the appropriate information to be able to position it on a workcell floor and to mount a robot on it.

Steps

Preparation

Switch to the Resource Builder workbench.
|
|

|
Create a new, empty document.
If another document is already open in the running session, this step has to be executed. If not, this step can be skipped.

Click on the File command in the upper document toolbar. A drop down menu opens.

Click on the New command.
|
|
|

If a document is already open, a message appears to decide to save that document, close it without saving or to cancel the execution of the New command.

Define the pedestal resource
|

|
Import the geometry from the file Pedestal ArcWelding Cell.stp, which is located on the installation drive of this manual.

|
Create a new building parts type resource for this imported pedestal.
|

|

Build the pedestal resource shape
|

|
Attach the imported geometry to the root frame of the resource.
|
|
|

|
Complete the fence resource
|

|
Create the adapter on the table of the pedestal. It will be used to mount the robot on.

Give an appropriate name to the pedestal resource. And define its other properties.

Save the pedestal resource.

|
Be sure to save your data frequently.
