Start the Generate process geometry command. Select the Generic contour mode with the Search to close option. Pick a contour on the workpiece. Accept the selection and press the Accept button again to build the cutting contour.
1.2
Change to Program toolpath. Select the contour and use the green cone to move the start position of the path. Then program the toolpath for this contour.
1.3
Open the Active program dashboard. Open the Toolpath calculation tab and the Approximation container. Change the Calculation mode to LIN (linear). This will create only (small) linear motions to represent the contour.
1.4
Change the approximation attribute Max. sag to 1mm. This defines the maximum allowed deviation of the calculated cutting path from the process geometry contour. Optionally run a simulation before and after to see the differences.
1.5
Reset the approximation settings. Then, change the Maximum distance between the cutting path positions to 10mm.
1.6
Open the Local offsets container. Set the Sheet offset to 4 mm and see the result.
1.7
Set the Contour offset to 2 mm. Notice the difference with the sheet offset attribute.
