Adapter classes

Two adapter classes are available.

Class	Description	Type	Symbol
Mechanical	To assemble mechanical components (resources, controllers, workpieces, etc.) to other components or to position them in a layout.	Socket (parent)
		Plug (child)
Electrical	To connect resources or controllers to other controllers to establish a communication link.	Socket (parent)
		Plug (child)

Normally the adapter (and frames) are referred to the active joint, at where it is created, or to the root frame. Exceptions to this rule are:

A mechanical plug adapter always is referred to the root frame of the resource.

Electrical adapters have no reference.
