There several different frame types available.

Reference frame to define the tool offset. In most cases this frame is located on tool center point (TCP) of the resource with respect to the tool mount adapter.

Special type of tool frame. This frame will be used for parallel or additional programming an operation. For example in arc welding, to program the seam search laser at the weldgun.

Reference frame for the target definition in programming. In most cases this frame is located on

the machine table, work piece positioner or it is fixed in world with respect to a related joint.
