Workbench toolbar

The command list at the left side of the 3D View is the Workbench function toolbar. The content of this toolbar depends on the active workbench.

The list of commands in this toolbar is not a random list. It describes a global workflow that is typical for that workbench. Following it top down will guide the user from scratch to the final result that can be achieved in the active workbench. But of course, without any restriction any command of the toolbar can be used at any time within the scope of the workbench.

Command icons in this toolbar do not (mostly) start a function in a classical way, that after a user interaction is followed by its execution. They activate a group of actions and functions that can be seen as a dedicated step within the workflow of the whole toolbar.
