Purpose


Learn to how the quality of the cutting path is being analyzed and displayed.

Cutting path quality

WP_PG_Create

Program an operation at the outer contour of the workpiece.

COM_QualityEvaluation

Open the Active program dashboard and pick the Toolpath quality tab. Open the container Evaluation criteria. Here you will find all criteria that are applied to evaluate, to measure the cutting path quality.

COM_QualityEvaluation

The result of the analysis, called the incidents in case of not fulfilling the criteria, can be displayed. In the top row, for each criteria this can be turned on or off.

In case of a breach, the effect is immediately shown in color on the incident icon and in the program flow chart.

Collision

To display the collision incidents, the collision analysis in the simulation toolbar needs to be switched on.

COM_QualityEvaluation

Individual criteria can be turned off or on to be part of the cutting path quality analysis. Only the Reachability analysis is activated by default and is always being executed; it cannot be turned off.

Show

In the Display filters panel, open the Toolpath and operations container. Activate the quality display on the 3D cutting path. This will color the cutting path elements according their incident level.

COM_QualityEvaluation

There are three levels to display the incidents; starting from showing all incident levels up to showing only the failure incidents. Obviously; when multiple incidents have been detected, the color of the highest level will be applied to indicate.

COM_QualityEvaluation

Change the criteria values of the Axis speed with the sliders or by entering new values and notice that the analysis is being executed dynamically. The incidents are reported immediately.

OLP_Toolpath

Open the Toolpath dashboard. Notice that the incidents are displayed here as well. Turning one on or off is being applied in both dashboards.

Hovering over an incident will show a small window with the incident information. This is also available on the 3D cutting path element.

Save your project as .cenprj or as .cendoc.
